RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT (GRANTS)

The Resource Development department helps Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ excel by assisting faculty, staff, and administration secure external funds for programs that align with Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­'s college’s mission, strategic plan, and/or annual priorities. Resource Development assists with grant research, identifying funding resources, and developing grant proposals to enhance the College’s strategic goals.

Pre-Award

The Resource Development department is primarily focused on pre-award activities includes:

  • Researching funding needs and opportunities
  • Designing fundable projects
  • Assisting faculty, staff, and administration to cure external funds
  • Facilitating an understanding of the grant application process
  • Researching requirements for project performance
  • Preparing and submitting applications
  • Facilitating the Grants Roundtable meetings for grant and contract administrators
  • Ensuring adherence to all college related policies and procedures
  • Overseeing the transition to post-award activities
  • Works together with Project Directors and their respective Deans or VPs throughout the life of the grant project to ensure proper management and compliance

Post-Award

Resource Development works closely with the Office of Financial Services – Director, Associate Director, Senior Grants Accountant and Associate Director, Student Accounts Receivable on post-award activities including:

  • Accounting for financial transactions
  • Financial reporting
  • Providing expenditure compliance guidance
  • Training for managing grants
