For over forty years, the McLennan Music Department has been actively preparing music majors for transfer to four-year institutions as well as providing musical experiences for the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» community and McLennan County. Students have the opportunity to perform in major ensembles as well as study privately with full-time music professionals. Our music majors successfully transfer to major universities across the state of Texas and former Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» music majors currently teach and perform throughout the United States.
The Music Department is housed on the beautiful Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» campus in the Wilbur A. Ball Performing Arts Center and the Music & Theatre Arts Building. Facilities include the 520-seat Bosque River Stage, a 350-seat theatre, a 100-seat recital hall, sound-proof practice rooms, a fully-computerized music learning lab, Yamaha electronic piano lab, rehearsal halls, as well as studio and office space for the teaching faculty. Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» is an All-Steinway institution.
